Why advertising?

As a kid, commercial breaks on TV would have my full attention. From the catchy jingles that you couldn't help yourself whistling to the corny characters that would inexorably grow familiar, ads were to the kid that I was some sorts of fastfood version of the One Thousand And One Night stories.

Each spot would in 30s flat count the struggle of a character and its epic recovery thanks to whatever the brand is trying to sell you. And this is what advertising is about. Recreating a sense of the fantastic in a contemporary discourse. And from this perspective, the possibilities are endless and bound solely by one's imagination.

As someone creative and curious about what incessantly gets created, advertising possesses an undeniable advantage for it continuously renews itself by reinventing itself. Ideas bloom faster than dandelions in a graveyard and I find witnessing and intervening in the transformation process of a concept into a solid ad very gratifying.
